DOJ denies House GOP request for information on ongoing investigations

According to a letter acquired by Politico, the Department of Justice gave a signal on Friday that it would not provide the GOP-led House with information regarding existing investigations.

Bringing you the news The letter was sent to Rep. Jim Jordan, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, after the Ohio Republican declared that the committee, which is dominated by the GOP, is attempting to "understand the activities of the Justice Department" in relation to President Biden's handling of secret materials.

According to a letter Politico acquired from the Department of Justice on Friday, the department would not provide the GOP-led House with information regarding current investigations.

Keeping the news going The letter was sent to Rep. Jim Jordan, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, after the Ohio Republican said that the GOP-led panel was attempting to undertake "an oversight of the Justice Department's actions" over President Biden's handling of secret materials.
